Confirmed from North Sherwood Forest Community Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring basketball courts, a splash pad, a playground, picnic tables and an indoor track.
What runners say about North Sherwood Forest Community Park
“It’s a great day for flying a kite in a beautiful space and the swing and the slides are fun for all the kids to play safely.”
“North Sherwood Forest Community Park offers a fantastic playground with equipment for all ages.”
Not much to say, great experience overall, public restrooms, benches, basketball courts, tennis courts, a walking trail, a lake, and the water park
Amazing park my kids had the time of their life. The park is clean. The park is big and spacious the park offers lots of options for tots and kiddos. My kids really enjoyed the splash pad that’s open now and the tiny toddler park plenty of swings nice view huge pond, cute ducks great for walks and family time
Beautiful walking trail, larger than some of the other parks. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I hate that people come out there smoking weed. In broad daylight. No respect for the kids or others. May need someone to patrol the area.
North Sherwood Forest Community Park offers a fantastic playground with equipment for all ages. Enjoy nature trails, picnic areas, and a splash pad, ensuring fun for the whole family.

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadrestrooms — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
