Confirmed from Nyack Beach State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Scenic 61-acre riverside park attracting hikers, bikers, kayakers & cross country skiers in winter.
What runners say about Nyack Beach State Park
“Great experience beautiful park tranquil no loud music picnic tables by the river come over and take in the views along the Hudson’s River & Tapanzee bridge.”
“I assume that on a sunny day they fill up quickly, but if you are like me and go places when it's raining or later in the day- it's nice and quiet.”
“The shoreline trail is an easy walk and the breeze off the water with gentle cresting waves right beside you makes it a must do imo.”
Lovely little beach area with great views of the Hudson. The parked up the hill - where is large green picnic area. A short wooded hike down gets you to the view and beach area. Great views, lots of shaded hiking trails (and biking trails). Great place for a family hangout and connect with nature.
Beautiful area to relax by the waterside or hike a trail. Great walking and biking gravel trail along the Hudson River. Picnic tables and barbecue grills just off the parking lot. Men’s & Women’s Bathrooms at lower and upper parking lot.
An amazing trial to go for a walk or a simple hike with amazing views of architecture as well as nature. Coming from central New Jersey, I never thought that I would see a place like this close to the city.
Beautiful little park with 2 parking lots . I assume that on a sunny day they fill up quickly, but if you are like me and go places when it's raining or later in the day- it's nice and quiet. I even got to see a baby deer 🦌 running around:)

The practical stuff
- AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
