Confirmed from NYS DEC Old Gick Parcel of Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Preserve, boasting hiking trails, for viewing wildflowers, butterflies and other fauna.
What runners say about NYS DEC Old Gick Parcel of Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park
“Well maintained 1-1/2 mile circle, great spot.”
“I think I missed the peak of the lupines recently, but had a beautiful little hike nevertheless.”
“It's so peaceful we so the blue 🦋 last year one land on my sandle for 15 minutes n flue away”
Easy, flat walking trails on well cleared sandy paths. Great short hikes for families with small children. Semi shade with lots of ground flowers to view. Consistent road noise near the ends of the trail, but otherwise a relaxing stroll in nature.
Always a nice walk. I think I missed the peak of the lupines recently, but had a beautiful little hike nevertheless. Easy terrain and some cool birds around here to keep an eye and an ear out for!
Reliable trail but nothing spectacular. Often too busy for us because we have dogs in tow and there'll be half a dozen cars in the parking lot so we just keep going.
Wild raspberries...wild strawberries and miles of secluded trails...great for the pups to run!
