Confirmed from Saratoga Sand Plains Wildlife Management Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park with mulch-covered trails that's good for kids and dogs.
What runners say about Saratoga Sand Plains Wildlife Management Area
“Easy parking and perfect footing with winding paths through the picturesque forest.”
Fascinating place to visit. The trails traversed a variety of environments including the sandhills and a mature forest. Much wildlife to enjoy. Wildflowers, including the last of the wild lupine were blooming during our visit in 2nd week of June. The dogbane was beautiful.
Beautiful place, lots of trails. In the spring you will see lupines (I was there too early) lady slippers, blue karner butterflies. There are great places to look for birds if you ae into that sort of thing. There were other people there birding and running along the trails. There are trails where horses can/can't go.
The trails are ideal for horses and riders alike! Easy parking and perfect footing with winding paths through the picturesque forest.
This is a great place to hike and explore nature. Wonderful wildflowers and wildlife.
