Confirmed from Old Mill Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Public park on the water featuring a swimming beach, soccer fields & picnic areas.
What runners say about Old Mill Park
“Sits on the Rappahannock River, next to Falmouth Bridge, great scenic views.”
Popular park with various activities available. Sports field, beach area, picnic shelters, and children's play area. Sits on the Rappahannock River, next to Falmouth Bridge, great scenic views. I attended Earth Day Festival in the Spring, River Run Fest in Summer, that had hundreds of enthusiastic participants.
This is definitely one of the best parks in Fredericksburg! Nice big playground for the kids, huge fields for the kids to run in, plenty of space to fly kites. The Rappahannock River runs alongside it, providing excellent water access for fishing, swimming, inner tubing, canoeing, kayaking, rocking hopping, or just…
This is a perfect park for a meeting place. There are many historical discoveries to be made, outer trails for walking and biking, and River trails to be explored.
We very much enjoyed our visit to the park. It's spacious, has restroom facilities, plenty of shade, and access to the Rappahanock River. Our dogs also enjoyed the park, plenty of sniffs. We usually park along the street, under the bridge. Best spots.
