Confirmed from Rappahannock River Heritage Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Family-friendly area with trails for hiking and biking, plus a picnic area, and restrooms.

Diverse trail system, both paved and unpaved. Walking, biking, water activities available. Stunning nature views along the Rappahannock River.
Amazing park and trail system that carves through historic Fredericksburg. You have your choice of a nice paved trail or you can rough it a bit and go off the beaten path. So much to see and do as you can fish, kayak, tube or hike. The park is free and you may need to bring your own drinks and food.
I’ve lived in Virginia my whole life and have never been here until this weekend! I decided to come down here to run 6 miles, and I’m really glad I did. The path is amazing, clean, and has gorgeous views. I’ll definitely be visiting again and next time I’ll bring the whole family!
Awesome place. While stay home and use the treadmill when you can jog, hike while surrounded by a gorgeous landscape. Nice bike trails. Clean, fun, safe and family friendly.
