Confirmed from Olympic Beach's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Olympic Beach

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (561 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“It was so clean and well maintained, I didn't even know we were on a public beach!”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“Beautiful views of the Olympics, Mt Hood and the Edmonds-Kingston Ferry.”

Visiting Olympic Beach on the Edmonds waterfront at low tide is one of my favorite activities! You can often walk from the fishing pier, under the ferry dock and over to the dive park at low tide and see all sorts of marine life. I've seen moon snails, kelp crabs, star fish, sea anenomes and more!

Beautiful view of the Olympic Mountains. Long stretch of sandy beach great for walking or hanging out on a beach blanket. Benches and sculptures along walk above the beach area, great photo opportunities. Visitor station with tons of information about the ocean creatures.

Our family’s favorite sandy beach 🏖 There are restaurants such as Arnie’s Seafood and Anthony’s Seafood. Rusty Pelican is a half mile away. The beach has plenty of space for families to pick a spot and relax, play, dig holes, cover people up in sand, play frisbee and fly kites.

Olympic Beach is a great place to go for a walk and catch the sunset/sunrise. You can crab and fish off the piers. We saw otters this time climbing the rocks on the sea wall. It's just an overall great place to come and wonder around or bring a lunch and stay a while.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 15 mentions

“Very nice park, lovely view of the water and of the ferry, leaving the dock.”
