Confirmed from Orchard Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Park featuring a splash pad and jungle gyms, along with a grassy field for soccer and tennis.
What runners say about Orchard Park
“The lights are absolutely beautiful and perfectly synced to music — just tune into the radio station posted on the fence and enjoy the show right from your car.”
“Not only is it a park that caters to all ages (small and larger play equipment available) but they also have events like the winterglow spectacular!”
A large open park with multiple play areas. There's access to the centennial trail from this park. A fabulous Christmas display.
This is the kind of park I'd love to see more of! The equipment is sized for toddlers *and* older kids, there's a small section that is wheelchair accessible, a panel teaching the ASL alphabet, and a communication board that is functional and educational for people who are unfamiliar.
Large picnic areas, grass to run, and lots of play structures. Plus, there's an ice cream shop across the street!
Great park! Super big and well maintained. Good splash pad as well as good play equipment, especially for older children (5-12) it is more of a jungle gym rather than just having slides and ladders.

“There are also open fields to play fetch with your dogs, and plenty of courts to use for tennis or pickleball (although there aren't any pickleball specific courts).”

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
