Confirmed from Saltese Uplands' own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hilly network of trails for walking, hiking and mountain biking, as well as for equestrians.
What runners say about Saltese Uplands
“Exquisite views at the top of Valley's on either side including views beautiful Libery Lake.”
“Overall, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great running or hiking spot with beautiful views and varied terrain.”
“The trails are well-marked and well-maintained, making it easy to navigate and customize my route to suit my needs.”
“I appreciate the peaceful atmosphere of the area, which is a nice change of pace from the busier trails in the area.”
“There is an easy super flat trail here suitable for mountain bikes of all ages.”
Solid hike/bike area, 5ish mile outer loop w/ plenty of parking at trailhead. Just bring water! Good views of the valley and Mt Spokane.
This has become my go-to spot for running and training. The trail system offers a great workout with varied elevation changes, making it an excellent spot to challenge myself and push my limits. The views from the top are stunning, with wide-open vistas of the valley below.
Rain or shine, I love coming here to run, hike or walk. Nearly endless options of trail variety over the expanse of hills to explore. The longest loop is nearly 5 miles, but you can cut across to the Flatlands and add 3 more miles w/ that loop, too.
Beautiful area. Probably a good cool hike. I would see this being a hot summer hike.
