Pass Lake Loop provides a nice, quiet forested trail near the popular Deception Point State Park. The trailhead is near the boat launch for Pass Lake at the junction of Highway 20 and Rosario Road. The trail heads up into the forest on the west side of the lake.
I've only hiked the Pass Lake Loop trail, which I believe goes through an old logging area? The old log road consists of large angular cobble. I don't know how to better describe it except it's a pain to walk on, especially for smaller dogs, and the trail uses this log road for a fair distance.

What a great spot! Once you get up into the lake, the traffic noise disappears. There are otters, kingfishers, swallows, and all sorts of beautiful flora. What a pretty place to paddle or hike.
