“Beautiful easy walk lots of cool history”
What a cool piece of history! We very much enjoyed our walk today on the original brick road from Daytona to DeLand. While only in use for 30 years, the road was well made and has held up quite well! There are only two parking spaces, but im guessing that typically isn’t a problem.
This is a great Trail right off of 92 that is cobblestone. It's the old DeLand to Daytona connection. It's not at all busy during the week which is when I come and the solitude is so peaceful and drowns out the sound of the cars. There's not much parking but that's not a problem during the week. Easy walk in and out!
It's steps into the past that's for sure. 124 year old brick road;with some wide life. This 1 mile 2 mile round trip, is a nice like break if your road tripping with a dog.
Drove on the other side. Decided to park and walk this side to check it out. Tranquility minus sound of traffic on ISB. Sadly, didn’t notice any wildlife. Mile markers for distance tracking. Audio posts for listening to info. Benches. Sign in sheet area but no sheet to sign in.
