Confirmed from Phipps Prairie Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Open, grassy area surrounded by woodlands, offering nature trails, picnic shelter & a playground.
What runners say about Phipps Prairie Park
“The play area is a bit small but the prairie trail is beautiful and the woods are thick enough to make the walking trails feel like an adventure.”
I love taking my cat to this park as it is usually quiet and not too busy. We like walking the trails and he likes the large overlook specifically. I love that it is pet-friendly, however when people bring their dogs, they have a tendency to not keep them on leash; that is very uncomfortable when I can hear a dog in…
Unknown park in the se corner of Silvis. Trails are wide and mostly mulched or mowed. Hard trails are steep punchy climbs.
Two short hiking trails, one handicap accessible and one hard. Nice playground and picnic tables under a shelter. My only complaint is the prairie is mowed pretty short, really doesn't make any sense but overall a nice little park in the woods right off of the avenue.
This park is a hidden gem! Great playground, plenty of parking, large pavilion, numerous hiking trails, swings, grills and restrooms.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
