Confirmed from Beacon Harbor's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Beacon Harbor

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (66 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“Its so beautiful here, but beware of the bugs lol”

This is a great place to park and bring the bikes out. The Great River Trail cuts right through here so we have used the area to park and bike out to Cordova from here (or go west back into the Quad Cities area).

★★★★★ — Ken , Sep 2024

Nice place to walk either way. Not any places to rest ifneeded. The main area has a nice bathroom and they just opened their shop. Haven't been in there though. Great river view.

This is a awesome place to go walk ,clear your mind, look at the view i can just go on about this place .

★★★★★ — Missk , Mar 2019

I'm not sure what this place is but it looks nice. It's on the river trail which makes it a nice stop.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
