Confirmed from Butterworth Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 8 mentions

“The lower level has a nice pond while the upper level offers a great view of downtown East Moline and the Mississippi River.”

Love this place fun you could children let play with on playground go walk or bike ride

★★★★★ — Blessing , Jun 2018

Beautiful park along the Mississippi River. It has a bike path for walking, riding bikes, roller skating and anything else you can think of that is notorious. No motor vehicles are permitted on the bike path!

★★★★☆ — Ms , Dec 2017

It's going to take a little time to be the same, inundated with flood waters from the unprotected almost natural Mississippi River banks for an extended period took its toll on the place. Many opportunities for groups, individuals and the city to re-beautify the place.

★★★★☆ — Mark , Jul 2019

The Soule Bowl is a fun park to frolf, fish, hike, or picnic. The lower level has a nice pond while the upper level offers a great view of downtown East Moline and the Mississippi River. There are several trails that wind through the wooded areas making the park feel more private and larger than it is.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
