Confirmed from Rocky Valley Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Rocky Valley Trail
“Beautiful sights with good cardio, can't beat getting healthy exploring nature!”
“The views are exceptional, it’s well marked and shaded, and has benches along the path as well!”
“This is a nice trail, well defined and quiet.”
The overlook is close and handicap accessible. There are other trails to hike. The view are spectacular.
Cool trail! Nothing too scenic but lots of pretty forest and rock formations. Beautiful quarry at the beginning as well! Starts with a decline, so it's a little steep coming back but nothing too bad. This is about a 2 mile loop trail with the East Quarry Spur as well, but fairly easy and took us about an hour 15
The trail goes to a spur that has a view of Arkansas river. But the trail has a pretty decent inclination to that spur. The trail is not wheelchair or stroller friendly, a lot of gravels on the way makes it difficult for the strollers.
Rock Valley Trail was a fun adventure with our pup! The scenery is fabulous, and the trail is well-marked. It's nice that the trail is part of a larger, interconnected trail system, and that all the trails are clearly marked.

“Only reason it’s a 4 star is due to the paint markers on the trees were green, made it slightly harder to follow”
“It has a lot of ups and downs, rocks, and roots, so come prepared as it is a good work out.”
