Confirmed from Pondhawk Natural Area's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
This 79-acre nature park features hiking & biking trails, wetland, wildlife-viewing areas & more.

“The walking trails are clean, well marked, and easy to follow, making it a relaxing stroll for any level of fitness.”
“A Peaceful Hidden Gem in Boca Raton I had an amazing visit to Pondhawk Natural Area!”
“The pond behind the library offers an open family friendly paved walkway.”
Free parking next to the library and nature area. The northern red trail is a covered pine and palmetto palm forest while the southern yellow trail is an open air grassy plain. Both are easy sandy trails and worth the walk, great for beginners/young children.
I have been to so many natural areas lately looking for the right one for me and I have finally found it! It's Pondhawk Natural Area. I just wish I lived closer. This area provides the size that I need to get a work out in.
Great place to go for a refreshing walk either in solitude or with children. It does feel like you're in a natural area that's not in Boca. Plenty of parking spots by the entrance. I would not come here after sunset as it becomes impossible to see if something is hiding in the grass or bushes near the walkway.
Nice little getaway in the middle of Boca Raton. Walking and hiking trail although not very adventurous. Trail is less than a mile, can still hear construction and traffic. Saw a bald eagle and lots of lizards. Walking trail is paved so easy for anyone. Hiking trail is sand so more of a challenge.
