Confirmed from Potato Mountain Baldy Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiking area with a challenging trail that leads to a viewpoint decorated with potatoes.
What runners say about Potato Mountain Baldy Trailhead
“Beautiful area parking is on the side of the mountain cliff but the trail is worth it especially that view is breath taking”
“Shade for the first half and then the climb towards the end is in the open sun.”
Great Hike! Just FYI No Parking signs are posted up at the trail head dirt parking entrance and cops did ticket all cars who parked at the entrance and no parking signs are posted across the street too! If you go past the trail head south on the street 0.
One of my favorite hikes that isn’t hard and only about 4.5 miles up and back. The views never get old and always leave a heart thankful. Did this hike in both the night and day. Super recommend
Beautiful hike; mostly exposed but there's some shade. There's parking further up from the trailhead right after the country line
Gorgeous scenery! Tons of trees, creeks, streams and overlooks...wow this place kicked my butt!!! I am not a hiker, but wanted a challenge and I felt it! So happy I reached the top. It took me about an hour and 40 min to the top, with lots of stops breathing, water stops and view pix along the way.
