Confirmed from Prompton State Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Hiker-friendly park featuring a dam and a frisbee golf course , plus a lake with boat ramps.

“From here you can also hike to the dam or have a picnic at the large pavilion which features a beautiful view of the lake.”
Probably my favorite local location to visit for its scenery; I personally prefer the north area of the park has due to its beautiful natural scenery that includes waterfalls, cliff faces, and some diverse mixed forests.
Scenic hiking trails. My dog loves this state park. This place is just as beautiful during the winter time as it is in the summertime. Great Escape!
Went on a five mile hike through this park. It was fantastic the park had clearly defined trails that varied in difficulty. All the while providing great scenery and animal sightings. Will definitely come back to hike the rest of the trails.
Prompton State Park has nice areas for several different activities. There is a parking area near the disc golf course. From here you can also hike to the dam or have a picnic at the large pavilion which features a beautiful view of the lake. In a mid-section of the park, there's a nice boat launch.

The practical stuff

- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- At the trailheadparking — reported by runners
- Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
