It’s a relatively easy hike, unless you go down to the river side. That does have a little bit of a steep trail but I would highly recommend it. I have a number of health conditions like fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis, and I was still able to make the trek easily. It’s definitely worth your time.
Short and easy hike with great views of the Potomac. Lightly trafficked, good for kids and dogs. The trail is well marked and maintained, but there are some places where you might want to get off the trail and go explore. Just be careful if you do so since the terrain can be steep and slippery.
This is a great place for a quick hike with diverse topography. You get a good view of the Potomac River and can choose a variety of trail options that are well marked. There are historical markers by the parking lot describing the old homestead.
This is a beautiful and historic park. The land was part of a farm from the late 1800's to early 1900's. The placards designating the different buildings that are part of the site are informational and well kept, but the park could generally use more signs and trail markers.
