Confirmed from Rentschler Forest MetroPark's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Picturesque open space featuring walking trails, picnic areas, playgrounds & river views.
What runners say about Rentschler Forest MetroPark
“Well maintained, spacious park with well marks trails.”
“Very beautiful scenery, definitely the place for all in one and the waterfall at cascade creek is beautiful.”
“Markers were easy to follow throughout the trails as some overlap or split.”
“It is nice and quiet and a little out of the way so it does not get as much foot traffic as some other area parks.”
“I came here for the hiking trails, and the hiking trails are great for short and easy hikes.”
Had a great time hiking the trails... The bridge and creeks and falls were awesome... The only reasons I give for not giving 5 stars is that there's some erosion damage in some parts, and several of the trails are behind in repairs and we would have liked to have completed all of them...
Great place for a hike! I especially love the large Pine path off the yellow trail-makes you feel like you've been transported far away from the city. 🌲
This beautiful park is clean and well-organized. I love the lake, the clear directions, and the well-marked trails. I can't wait to go back!
I came across this gem with a simple google search. After seeing a few photos I knew immediately I wanted to take my fur babies to visit. This park was very peaceful, clean and dog friendly. I enjoyed my time walking along the river and within the trails.
