Confirmed from Rice Creek West Regional Trail Corridor's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Linear park featuring a creek and paths for hiking, biking and wildlife viewing.
What runners say about Rice Creek West Regional Trail Corridor
“All in all, it's a beautiful little trail with several bridges over the creek, as well as a mix of asphalt and gravel paths.”
This is a good long trail. So if you want to make a day of it (and I recommend you should) this trail is done in 3 sectors.
One of my favorite local trails, long enough to get all your steps in and but not a complete slog even when the weather is disagreeable. Good place to see some of the local flora and fauna, especially all kinds of insects. I've also spotted some deer and turkeys on the trail occasionally.
Beautiful trail through the woods along Rice Creek. Don't be surprised to see deer and other wildlife. You'll typically encounter other walkers, bikers, etc. Lovely little bit of nature within suburbia.
Nice linear park running through Fridley. The path runs all the way from the river (connecting to the River paths to downtown) to long lake (and beyond).
Trail conditions & character
“Awesome park a great find only has 3 pokestops but the view of the Creek and the dense forest make it a fun and delightful adventure I would love to visit again.”
“Plenty to see, lots of woody side trails, and with gradual changes in elevation its an easy hike.”
“All in all, it's a beautiful little trail with several bridges over the creek, as well as a mix of asphalt and gravel paths.”
