Confirmed from Roswell Riverwalk's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Roswell Riverwalk

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (233 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 4 mentions

“Very well maintained and clean with nice parking lots nearby.”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 9 mentions

“It is a gorgeous walk and a wonderful way to get your daily exercise in while enjoying the breathtaking scenery of the Chattahoochee River and the native wildlife.”

Great park to walk the trail for exercise or just to go and get peace of mind. I frequent this park several times a week to walk. The only thing I don't like is the nasty, inconsiderate people who let their dogs pop on the trails and do not clean up after them especially when there are doggy poop stations setup…

Beautiful and fun walking, running, biking trails surrounded by nature. The boardwalk is nice and offers great views of the water and nature preserve areas, wheelchair and bike accessible. Parking gets tight sometimes and they do ticket if you're parked along the road.

Love this place! It's a beautiful boardwalk along and above the wetlands on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. The Atlanta Chattahoochee Nature Center is adjacent to the riverwalk. Great views of the waterways feeding into the river. There is abundant wildlife along a boardwalk safe enough for even small children.

The most amazing walking trail. I hate to tell people because it's getting so crowded. But, it's really delightful. The boardwalk is beautiful. Beautiful views of the river. Watch out for cyclist. You can hop over to Gold Branch and make it a day. You can walk all the way down under 400. I love this place.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
