Confirmed from Royal Oaks Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Well-maintained 1966-era destination featuring barbecues and playgrounds for kids.

Excellent park with lots of Wildlife, and plant species. All photos were shot at Royal Oaks County Park. Great place to take your Kitteh hiking :-P
A favorite half way spot to take a break and stretch our legs when driving between the Bay Area and San Luis Obispo. Super clean and well maintained. A gentle sloped turf area surrounded by Coastal Oaks - and about a dozen short hiking trails. They have picnic tables, play areas for kids, and nice bathrooms.
Really nice park. Lots of shade. Beautiful setting. But everything is old and run down. The tennis courts have weeds growing through the floor. All the benches are covered in bird poop. The swings are cracking and very squeaky. No baby swings.
Very nice park - clean, well maintained picnic areas and bathrooms and nice network of trails. Never crowded. I come here with my dogs when I want to have a nice shady walk.
