Very nice are to walk around. They have several different trails. I decided to stop her for a quick walk before an event I was going to close by. I am glad that I had plenty of time, because there was not much to go off of.
Such a pretty place that I stumbled upon one evening. Looks like there is a lot more to explore and I would love to go back when they days are longer. Some water runs through different areas, lots of trees and paths. A little noisy as it’s right off a main road but still really nice.
Pleasant retreat near the river. Great place to encounter various birds. Saw and recorded pileated woodpeckers and barred owls. The trails are for the most part unmarked and the map provided at the entrance did not reflect anything I encountered after crossing the creek on the little bridge.
This is a beautiful site, and it's rich in history! Native Americans once lived atop Charbonier Bluff, and the Lewis and Clark expedition passed through here in 1804.
