We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Salem Lake yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 3 mentions

“Very peaceful and beautiful”

Great place to run, walk with or without your dog, bike, and you can also canoe in the lake. Polite people. Very peaceful and beautiful

★★★★★ — Jessica , Nov 2022

Salem Lake is a really nice place to walk or kayak if you want to get outside and relax for a while. The trail is peaceful, the views are pretty, and it’s a great spot for some fresh air without having to go too far.

★★★★☆ — Aeliyra , Mar 2026

Excellent lake for most outdoor activities and just a great place to get outside. The lake offers a 7 mile loop trail for cycling, walking, or running. You may also see a good number of kayakers on a sunny day.

★★★★★ — Gavin , Oct 2024

Love this. Great trails for the entire family. Grab bug spray and sunblock!

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
