Bay Trail is a very long one cross many cities. This portion is at Sunnyvale. The hill is formerly a garbage dump. The city restored it to be part of the trail. The view on top is great. You can even see the antenna on Mission Peak and Monument Peak clearly. The stairs are great for people to train.
Trail with special view of the sea and the bridge. There are flocks eating grass and resting along the trail. They probably will be here for more two weeks. Park your car along the street which is next to the trail entrance. No shade for the trail.
Very very easy hike for any skill set. It doesn’t feel like California, and I would absolutely recommend this place. 10 out of 10 I would come here again.
Nice trail, lots of birds, but watch out for the muddy parts in the winter and snakes in the summer time.
