Confirmed from Sunnyvale Baylands Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🌾 quiet & peaceful 5 mentions

“I love how peaceful it feels, even though it’s close to the city — you can hear the birds, feel the breeze, and enjoy a touch of nature without going far.”

We came to the park during the evening and happened to catch the sunset where the clouds in the sky are scorched in bright amber. It was a very nice view. The walk was enjoyable as the weather was cooler at this hour. The environment was very peaceful and serene.

Went here for a birthday/graduation. Weather was very good. Sunny and a lot of wind. People were flying their drones and it was exciting to watch. Enjoyed ourselves here. The price of $6 to enter is not bad. There is also a trail. Lots of picnic areas

★★★★☆ — Connie , Jun 2024

What a great park for walking, biking, running, and learning about the environment. A large piece of land for recreation with lots of picnic tables, playground, intense obstacle courses, restrooms, water fountain, and more.

★★★★★ — Ray , Jul 2025

The park is nice with various paths. There is a cute park in the main part and areas to sit. It has a bathroom and water fountain capable of filling water bottles. There is a second park and area to have picnics with swings. Lots of open fields and connection to trails like the Bay Trail pictured. It was very pretty.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 10 mentions

“A very good place for a nice little stroll and even just to sit back, relax and enjoy the magnificent view surrounded by mountains.”
