Confirmed from San Gabriel River Trail/Goodwater Loop Trailhead's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

My wife and I hiked the trail on a beautiful Saturday morning. We did the portion to Crockett Falls. The trailhead is located within Cedar Breaks Park on Lake Georgetown. There is parking right at the trail head but it was already full so we parked just outside the gate in the parking spots along the road.

It’s a nice hiking trail(s)! We got to park outside of the park and because of that I was free of charge to go through the gate by “walk” but if you go through the gate with your car you’ll have to pay for $5. But I think it’s still a great place for the park visit!

San Gabriel Park Good Water trail is an amazing hiking area. Trail is moderate level of difficulty, challenging for sure. But it so much fun. You get to see beautiful lake next to it. Crockett garden falls is about 1:45 minutes hike. Water falls is awesome. You are welcome to get wet. I did and it was so cool.

Lovely hiking trail of around 8 miles. You can find a falls at the end of the trail. It's easy to medium trail. You can do it as a family. You can see the beautiful George Town lake from the cliff, and you can get down and go to the lake water. It's not meant for swimming.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
