Confirmed from Booty's Road Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Booty's Road Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (404 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions
🏞️ beautiful scenery 7 mentions

“There's a paved trail and also an unpaved (has that gravel-like stuff) trail that goes thru a beautiful area with water flowing down to the creek.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 3 mentions

“It's a quiet little park at the end of the road.”

Plenty of parking. A large pavilion with tables. Restrooms. All good! I mainly use this park to access the north side of the Goodwater Trail that goes around the lake. Of all the access point I use for different sections of the trail (Cedar Breaks, Russell Park and here), this location has the nicest amenities.

Great trail for hiking and bike riding! My kids loved it, not a very long trail, but just enough to get you out for about 2 hours. The views are rewarding and there are places to fish or just sit and enjoy. Next time we're bringing bikes.

This was a fun travel and was very relaxing. The water is stocked with fish and it holds some BIGGINS!!! Quite a few people walk this trail throughout the day so you won’t be entirely alone. Overall this is an awesome place!!!

★★★★★ — Malcalm , Aug 2022

Absolutely beautiful trails and nice views of the river. Lots of places to explore.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
