Confirmed from Stilling Basin Trailhead - San Gabriel River Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Stilling Basin Trailhead - San Gabriel River Trail
“Nicely shaded trail with plenty of parking and benches to sit on along the way.”
Short but very scenery trail. Most of the trail is under shade, which makes it easy and interesting. You can feel breeze when you get close to Lake Georgetown.
Trail runs along the river, the area, and trail that I walked was was easy and plants were cleared along trail.
This is just below the Georgetown Lake dam. Heading one direction will take you along a path above the dam and beyond. The other direction will take you thru a tree lined path along the river.
Lovely trail with plenty of shade under trees. You walk along the river on one side. They were some bathroom facilities at one point along our hike.
