Confirmed from Sandy Bluff Park and Dog Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🐕 dog-walking favorite 3 mentions

“Absolutely love this park great place to bring the dog friendly people and what a great neighborhood can't beat it”

Our dog loves to visit with all his doggy buddies! There are bags available if your dog "goes". Water bowls are also available for your dog to get a quick drink in between the running and playing. After our dog has a visit at the park, he is well exercised.

Nice dog park. Lots of room for my buddy to run around. Always stocked with poop bags and fresh water. Tucked away in the neighborhood. Just about everyone we've run into has been super friendly.

★★★★☆ — John , Mar 2019

I like this place. I have a dog that is more of a people person so I like the option of the smaller area although I wish it was cut in half so she could have more room to run. If you're like me and want the large area I find around 9am is a good time for a little while or early morning week days.

Very nice dog park. I took my seven pitbulls there to run around and play with each other and the other dogs. Great places to sit and relax with other dog parents, and a wide and vast space for the puppers to run free. It's at a great location being not near a busy road.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

“This area can get muddy, but that should be expected as lots of dogs run off leash tearing up the terrain in the wet weather.”

The practical stuff

  • AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, water — reported by runners
  • DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
