Confirmed from Sara Mountain Park Loop Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Sara Mountain Park Loop Trail

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (54 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

Great place to run or hike. miles of trails. Be safe and take water. Know your surroundings and watch for rattlers. Happy hiking.

This was an incredible hike. We went down the yellow trail that leads to Sarah crack (my favorite part) following it all the way to Lake Havasu. We jumped into the ice cold water. On the way back we took the blue trail. The crack requires some climbing and sure footedness. I am a guy in decent shape.

I can't say enough good stuff about this... It truly is my most favorite place to go hiking . I have spent days here when it was rainy cold 45 degrees to hot days at 120. You need to Respect this area for things can change here quick..

We go to SARA park for short hikes on the mountain bike paths. They are documented on th Chamber of Commerce site and in avenza maps. Best time to go is in the morning late fall, winter and early spring and bring some water!. U will need good boots, the gr [under is hard and rocky in places.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
