Confirmed from Scout Ridge Loop Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

👟 good for all levels 2 mentions

“Super easy trail, relatively flat.”

Super easy trail, relatively flat. Not stroller friendly, a lot of exposed tree roots. The path diverges quite a bit so just keep an eye out for trail signs on the trees. This would be a great trail run loop.

I was surprised by this little gem of a trail near wasilla. Great viewing spot to overlook flats, lake viewing and creek viewing spot all in one. The trail was well-maintained it was relatively flat and perfect for a young family or dogs.

Scout Ridge Loop is a pleasant little walking area with a few different walking trail options. The upper trail (main loop) takes the hiker to a trail portion that travels along a bluff overlooking the Palmer Hay Flats with incredible views of the Chugach mountain range.

★★★★★ — Christopher , Apr 2021

The hikes in this area are a little ambiguous, But ultimately there are two parking areas one that is at the top of a hill and the other that is at the bottom of a hill.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
