Confirmed from Selah Cliffs -- Natural Area Preserve's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Selah Cliffs -- Natural Area Preserve

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (42 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Nice clean place to go to the bathroom and to view the bridge view out there before heading home”

🏞️ beautiful scenery 6 mentions

“It was very windy and overcast but still able to experience in person and thats what counts 😀 Another beautiful creation by mother nature that you should come and see.”

Beautiful trail along the Selah cliffs leading all the way to the bridge stretching across. The road till the trailhead is all gravel. Discover pass is required for parking. Lots of benches along the trail to sit and relax on. I liked the info boards which tell you about the canyon area.

★★★★★ — Azhar , May 2023

Very peaceful, no one else was there. We parked with our van overnight at the trailhead, nobody bothered us. But technically not allowed I don't think. Was a really nice mile out mile back walk.

★★★★★ — Jonathan , Dec 2025

Short and sweet, easy flat terrain and cool to see the cliffs to the side and bridge you walk towards. Wish you could get closer to the bridge.

★★★★☆ — Jeremy , Apr 2021

We went here today! Weather was kinda touch and go, but all in all a fun walk. For no dogs being allowed there were quite a few.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
