It is a beautiful place to visit, picnic tables playground equipment volleyball courts horseback riding golf course walking trails and much more. They have rooms available inside the lodge and cabins for rent that are close to the lake.
The Choctaw area is very nice for RV camping - concrete pads, full hookups, and fun playground for the kids. Beach/swimming area is close- nice walk. Trailheads are close. Best part for us was the Nature Center. Live animals! One employee was superb and had lots of information about the animals.
I have Always Loved Sequoyah State Park, Paradise Cove Marina and Fort Gibson Lake in the Great State of Oklahoma. So many Beautiful Memories of this Place in the Past. I’ve enjoyed many of the Hiking Trails with my Aunt Louise, Fishing Trips with my Friends and Camping Trips!
The lady in the welcome center was really nice. We went back to the gift shop and talked to a couple of guys who asked questions about my dog, who has cancer (tumor on her face), and we told them about her journey to the Oklahoma state parks. This is a nice area, and is great for hiking.
