Confirmed from Seven Oaks Preserve Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Botanical garden with trails running through woods and along lakes.

This is an easy trial with a variety of different scenery along the way. Creeks, lakeside, Forrest, and a parking lot. Speaking of parking lots. The map pin will take you to a smaller parking lot. You may or may not get a spot depending on the time of day.
A friend found this trail in an e-newsletter. Such a nice trail. Mostly well-marked and defined. Shaded. Earthen, rooty, no gravel. A few lovely views of Lake Wylie. Sun-bathing turtles. Chattering squirrels. Birds singing. Beautiful heron flock lifting en masse off a calm lake surface.
Beautiful and peaceful (except for the slithering creature that shall remain nameless 🐍😳) Seven Oaks is the perfect trail for all enthusiasts. The loop through to the Botanical Gardens parking lot and back around is about 4.8miles, but there are places to add more distance if you'd like.
SUN 2025.09.21 ~07:05, i was the the 4th to arrive at this TH parking. A few minutes later, i headed out for a walk (CW-Loop ~5 mi): Duke Kimbrell Trail > Daniel Stowe Trailhead Store > the neighborhood > the TH parking). The trail was well-maintained and in good condition.
