This park has beautiful views of the mountains and is not far from town. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. The trails caution of mountain lions so beware. Managed to spot some deer and California quail. There is also side for horses and trailers it was a treat to see the beautiful horses.
Excellent park and would come here again. This is a great spot to go hiking if you are here on a long weekend and need to kill some time before heading out to wineries. Parking is $6 for cars up to something like 8 people. Cards are accepted.
I go for trail runs in this fantastic park when visiting family in Napa. Most trails have consistent, medium grades with some switchbacks. Trail surface is mostly dirt with some areas of rocks. The old fire road is a great alternative to the more technical trails.
Nice park with 25+ miles of hiking trails and close proximity to Napa. We hiked the Skyline Trail up to Lake Marie. Saw 5-6 deer while hiking. Weather was in low 70s at 10 am mid August which made a for a nice day to hike.
