Confirmed from Marshalls Falls Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Marshalls Falls Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (119 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

🏞️ beautiful scenery 11 mentions

“Trail to left was very steep, had a unique cut out, and great view of top of falls.”

🌾 quiet & peaceful 7 mentions

“Marshall Falls is such a peaceful spot — quiet, tranquil, and perfect if you’re looking to unwind away from crowds.”

My girlfriend and I took a weekend trip to PA. This was our last stop before returning home and we surely saved the best for last. Beautiful scenery, delightful ambiance, and a peaceful atmosphere. The waterfall was extraordinary and the hiking trail was fairly easy. We would love to return in the near future!

This was part of a whole weekend of waterfalls. This was the easiest to walk to, even wheel chair accessible. It was a short 5 minute trail, and it was easy for the kids to play in the shallow water…wish I had packed bathing suits!

Free entry during the week, plenty of parking and easy to find. Has paved trail and boardwalks- very accessible. Beautiful and peaceful. We climbed one of trails to the top of the falls, a bit steep but not bad

★★★★★ — Claudia , Sep 2025

Visited this relatively new little park in The Poconos today. Wheelchair accessible to the view of the falls and some mildly challenging trails for those able. Beautiful views and pleasant surroundings. I didn’t see a picnic table, but there are a couple of places to lay out a blanket.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🏞️ Scenic views 27 mentions

“If you want to watch the waterfall and contemplate it's a good place but it was a bit of a disappointment for me as I was expecting something spectacular.”

Plan your run at Marshalls Falls Park

The practical stuff

  • AccessDawn to dusk — the gates close, so do not plan a run that finishes after dark
  • SurfaceMixed — more than one surface along the route, so check the segment you plan to run
  • DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
  • ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
  • At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
  • Stroller / wheelchairReported as smooth and step-free enough for a running stroller or a chair.
