Confirmed from Southside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

This was our favorite park to walk to in the morning and evenings on our visit. Beautiful, open, and not very busy. It has very nice restrooms, a dog park, and some beautiful trees along the way. It was a perfect field to watch the Blue Angels practice.

Huge area to do sports, exercise, walk a dog or just about anything. The dog park is great. There are two areas, one for larger dogs and the other for small dogs. My only complaint about the dog park is that people need to be responsible and pick up after their dogs. Especially when bags are made available.

Great little park near Base to bring my grandsons to play. They love it and there's a fun little nature trail to explore too

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🐕 Dog-friendly 34 mentions

“The people who bring their dogs there are very friendly and always want to help in any way they can.”
