Confirmed from Southside Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Gated, spacious locale for dogs and their owners, offering fenced-in areas for various-sized breeds.

This park is an excEllent walking, running & biking facility! It has separate areas for small and big Dogs too!! Big and Beautiful oak trees with benches in shade are placed. Restrooms are maintained. Parking facility is good. Everyone including our chihuahuas loved it! Overall awesome score!!!
This was our favorite park to walk to in the morning and evenings on our visit. Beautiful, open, and not very busy. It has very nice restrooms, a dog park, and some beautiful trees along the way. It was a perfect field to watch the Blue Angels practice.
Huge area to do sports, exercise, walk a dog or just about anything. The dog park is great. There are two areas, one for larger dogs and the other for small dogs. My only complaint about the dog park is that people need to be responsible and pick up after their dogs. Especially when bags are made available.
Great little park near Base to bring my grandsons to play. They love it and there's a fun little nature trail to explore too

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeRunners describe real tree cover here — it makes a summer afternoon workable
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms, water — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
