A well maintained paved rail trail from up near the Naval Air Station down into Beaufort. Bikes, walkers, baby strollers, and leashed dogs. It will soon be lengthened.
We love walking and biking the Spanish Moss Trail. It is still a work in progress, being built from the old Port Royal railway.
Great hike. Very clean and neat trail. Good for the family. Safe area. We loved it!
When my hubby travels and I can join him, I find some of the most wonderful places to walk. This trail along a former railroad was well kept! If I had control of the time of day that I walked, I would have gone at a cooler time! The middle of the day when there were very few shaded areas was rough at mid day in July!
