We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of St. Augustine/Loew Lake Trailhead yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about St. Augustine/Loew Lake Trailhead
This is a nice trail. Keep an eye out for Albino Deer. There are some. I have seen a big albino buck on the edge of the woods at one point. The last time I went I saw 3 albino tromping in the woods. It's not hard to miss them they are white.
These trails lead down to Lake Loew and are a beautiful winter hiking spot if you bundle up! I'm looking forward to summer hikes here too!
Peacefull place to walk, run or hike. Bring your fishing poles, and bows during the seasons. Lots of nature, lake, and woods to enjoy!
I love this area, beautiful. I love walking to the lake. Great area to get peace.
