We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of St Vrain Greenway -- bike and foot trail yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

🏃 great for running 2 mentions

“Easy to access, connected to lakes, reservoirs, and local landmarks, and a great place to walk, bike, run, and enjoy nature in the middle of town.”

Great 8 Mike trail to walk, run, bike on. Sunday morning is probably one of the quieter times. We were there this past Sunday around 8 am and it was beautiful. The St Vrain is overflowing right now so there were a couple of spots on lower trails that had water on them. You can get on at many spots.

Walk this river trail several times a week with the dog (Jed). Multiple chances for him to enter the water.

★★★★★ — John , Jun 2024

It is an excellent place to walk and see the incredible backdrop of nature.

★★★★☆ — Nicole , Jul 2024

These are some really nice, though short, multi-use paths. I really like riding my bike through here, and the local parks/urban trail system. Looking forward to exploring more and more as the weather warms up and the greenway isn’t as cold feeling.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.
