Confirmed from Storybook Hollow Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.

What runners say about Storybook Hollow Park

Pulled from public reviews of this trail (18 of them) — the things people bring up again and again, in their own words. Nothing here is written by us.

well-maintained 3 mentions

“Really nice park very clean and brand new definitely be back.”

🌳 shaded & cool 4 mentions

“Arguably the best park in Ridgefield (maybe tied with Abrams, but this one is much sunnier while Abrams' is shady).”

A great new park. The playground is great, with toddler size features but also parts that accommodate older kids. Lots of open play opportunities, like the bug sculptures, logs to walk/climb on, and a nice path. The giant slide looks a little intimidating at first, but my 2.

This is a really nice park with a playground that is great for older kids...the sign mentions that it is designed for 5-12 year olds. That seems about right. There are also nice paths for walking. We saw ducks and a deer! The slide is really great, meaning the kids enjoyed it and I did too!

This kinda feels like a fancy local neighborhood park. There's a path that follows a creek and ponds, I'm not sure how far it runs but it seems to go around the neighborhoods nearby, breaking off in two directions. It is scenic here and birds to watch.

★★★★☆ — Buzz , May 2026

New park built over by some news. Perfectly quiet with a little playground and some small walking trails. It was good to take the stroller out, and is perfect for a dog walk as well.

Trail conditions & character

What this trail is actually like underfoot and overhead, taken from its own listing and from reviews. Each one links to every other trail with the same character. Busy or quiet is reported as a plain fact, not a plus or a minus — a runner heading out alone at dawn often wants company on the path, and someone running intervals wants an empty one.

🚻 Restrooms 6 mentions

“Needs potra podi or something installed can't have bunch kids running around and no bathrooms”

“The parking lot has 15 spots, so I could see that being filled up quickly on busy days.”
