We have not been able to confirm the surface, distance or shape of Strands Beach yet from its own listing, the park's website or runner reviews — so those cells stay blank rather than guess. What is below comes straight from the listing and from reviewers' own words. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Strands Beach
“Beautiful beach very uncrowded, long way down to the shore from the street, however beautiful walkway, well kept Beach with an awesome point break!”
I parked at a free parking area, but there is a long walk down stairs to the beach. 75 steps? The lifeguard is there, but be sure of your skills, I felt a strong current today 8-23-23. Dog walkers, people walking, surfers, all out to enjoy God's creation.
Fabulous location with easy access, viewpoints, and beautiful sunsets. Wonderful walking trails with ocean access. With free parking this is a must visit for all.
Big and free Parking lots or street parking. The Ocean view is immediately breathtaking. There are different access spots to the beach. It is beautiful to walk or jog from one end to the other, swim or surf. Lot of beach, rocks or benches where to stop and admire the ocean surf and the beautiful sunset.
The stairs to this beach are quite a few and steep. There is a fancy funicular that is never operational. I suspect this is because of the fancy gated community next door (i.e. money talks and someone is making sure the funicular does not run).

“Tons of free parking, public restrooms (yes they suck but it’s better than nothing), wash stations for sand.”
“Beautiful beach, no dogs, no smoking and a LOT of steps to get to, but worth it”
