Confirmed from Stute Springs & Homestead Nature Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Well-kept nature trails through peaceful woods plus barns and other structures from a former farm.
What runners say about Stute Springs & Homestead Nature Trail
“I don't understand people who don't clean up after their animals and leave it on a path for others to step on.”
“We love to see the old buildings on this old farm and venture through the beautiful prairie.”
“Peaceful and memorizing trails with ranging slopes and terrain.”
One of our favorite hiking spots in the Kettle Moraine. We love to see the old buildings on this old farm and venture through the beautiful prairie. The sunset from the big hill is a must do!
3/10/24 - Finally got back to finish the trail. Enjoyed it very much. There were quite a few downed trees on the trail, some quite large but not too large that we weren't able to get over or around them. It was a nice quick hike. 12/25/23 - This was a great trail to walk!
It is absolutely beautiful but not easy for the first time. Stute Springs trail tangles with a blue, green, and purple trail. Which is all fine, but if you are looking for the shorter trail of stute springs, it's not easy with some missing map signs and trail markers to guide you.
Gorgeous walk. On the way in there are cloves lining both sides which attracts a ton of amazing butterflies. Some of which I have never seen before. I would recommend going online and printing out the brochure or at least to learn about the history of the area and its the buildings. I won't spoil the surprise for you.
