Confirmed from Sylvan Glen Eastern Trail Head's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about Sylvan Glen Eastern Trail Head
“The trails are well marked and fairly well maintained.”
This is one of my favorite places to go hiking with my dogs. Plenty of trails will keep you occupied for several hrs. You can spend a good 4 hrs hiking the perimeter of the park. There's a fenced in dog park area at the west entrance off Lexington Avenue as well. No other amenities.
My home trails- great mountain biking and hiking, with nice views and some interesting finds
Easy to follow trails to quarry. Entrance to dirt parking lot could use a little smoothing out. In and out with a Harley Davidson ultra classic limited
A nice network of trails for walking, running, biking, etc. The trails are well marked and fairly well maintained. It's a little muddy in a few places and some of the wooden boards are getting quite bouncy.

The practical stuff
- AccessPosted hours — posted hours below; park gates sometimes close earlier than the listing says
- SurfaceBoardwalk — flat and scenic, and slick when wet, so watch your footing
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
