Confirmed from T-Bone Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
What runners say about T-Bone Trail
“The new Desert Tortoise exclusion fencing that was installed is beautiful.”
Good little trail we went out and back and did just over 3 miles. There are some sand areas where it does make it difficult to walk in but my pup loved it! There are some other trails that go off T bone, will explode those another time.
Hiked this up to the pioneer loop and back in the early evening. Soooo pretty!! We saw a desert tortoise and a rattler. Definitely bring water and other protection from the sun— there’s very little shade!
Fun hike, easy trail great views, lava rock formations.. very peaceful.
Great trail to be alone, sounds like you're alone you can't hear the city, but it takes you to a cool place.

The practical stuff
- AccessOpen 24 hours — no gate to beat, so a 5am or a 10pm run both work
- SurfaceNatural surface — easiest on the joints and the most fun, but expect roots, rocks and mud after rain
- DistanceNot reported. Trail systems often quote total path mileage rather than a single loop, so measure the route you actually want before you drive out.
- ShadeNot reported. Assume some of it is exposed and carry water in summer.
- LightingRunners report lights on the path — useful for pre-dawn and after-work miles. Lighting and opening hours are separate things, so check both.
- At the trailheadparking, restrooms — reported by runners
- DogsWelcome, per reviewers. Leash rules vary by park — the trailhead sign is the authority.
