Confirmed from Pioneer Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Rocky 52-acre park featuring Dixie Rock, views of the city, hiking, BBQs & a covered pavilion.
What runners say about Pioneer Park
“Great views of the city of St George, Zion, Snow Canyon, Pine Mountain (with snow on it), the Giant "D" all the things.”
“This is an easy hike up the red clay that offers beautiful views in what feels like steps into Native American history.”
This is an amazing place for short hike. The city views are beautiful. My kids loved every minute of it. Since these are not high altitudes, it is absolutely safe for kids to hike with little supervision. If you are spending few days in St George, this is worth the visit.
A beautiful park near St George Utah with beautiful landscapes. Parking was free & the local residents we met were friendly. My husband and I spent a couple of hours doing little hikes , explore the area & enjoyed some quality time. Highly recommend
This is a great family friendly area that is perfect for kids to explore. The maze of garden paths with dinosaur tracks was well kept and there were many peaceful, thoughtful places to sit and enjoy the plants and wildlife. The red rocks have numerous little caves and areas to climb and sit.
Loved this park! Passing through St George on our way back to Vegas, I found this park with a lovely desert botanical garden to stroll through. As well as the St George Narrows hike was stunning. Very slim slot canyon, tight fit.
