Confirmed from Tilden Regional Park's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
A 2,000+ acre park with a carousel, botanic garden, lake swimming, picnic areas & steam train ride.

“It is highly regarded for its diverse blend of natural wilderness, scenic views, and family-friendly recreational attractions.”
Grizzly Peak is one of my favorite top hikes in the Berkeley area. There are multiple trail passes to get up to the peak. I used neighborhood parking near the Claremont Hotel. There’s very limited spots, but I got lucky, & found one, it helped that I got there in the early AM.
The trails are somewhat maintained and the views are really nice. Looks like a great place for kids with the merry go round. The bathroom is really clean with normal flushing toilets and a hand dryer. Would have given 5 stars but getting to the park is pretty scary because of all the hills you must traverse.
Came here with family and friends last Sunday afternoon. A beautiful park. Lots of fun things to do whatever you're interested in. We went on a little steam train ride with my 1-year-old niece. She loved it as did her family of adults. There are some great picnic areas, both sunny and shady spots.
A great regional park with multiple trails and attractions. The Seaview Trail is amazing on a clear day with awesome Bay views There are incredible views, great hiking trails, multiple lakes, a botanical garden, a minute steam train, a merry go round, and even a small farm.
