Confirmed from Timmerman Trail's own listing, the park or land manager's website, and runner reviews. Blank cells mean we could not verify that fact — we would rather say "not reported" than invent one. There is no Easy / Moderate / Hard rating on this page on purpose: a one-word difficulty score tells you nothing about whether a trail suits your run. Surface, distance, shade and hours do.
Biking and walking path through the woods and along a creek or river.
What runners say about Timmerman Trail
“Scenic creeks, woodlands, and rivers in the historic Heritage Preserve.”
“It's great for running or walking.”
“Nice paved & shaded trail loop for 4miles, but also connects to the Cayce Riverwalk phase 4 for a longer route.”
“While it’s peaceful, it is a bit unremarkable compared to the Saluda Riverwalk, but definitely the better choice if you’re looking for solitude.”
“Easy trail with multiple options and decent space parking.”
Quiet, beautiful, full of nature! Perfect for walking, bike riding, hoverboards, etc. No bathrooms. Benches every so often to rest. Dogs allowed. Historic signs telling of wartime and the Earthworks that was built there. And heed the alligator signs! They ARE there!
Nice paved & shaded trail loop for 4miles, but also connects to the Cayce Riverwalk phase 4 for a longer route. Beautiful trail, parking area is gravel though. Lots of history postings, take a history lesson about the area on your walk.
Not exactly what I was expecting, but not a bad trail. From the descriptions I got online it never really came up that it was a fully paved multipurpose path instead of a true trail. Either way, it was a nice walk through the woods.
Timmerman trail connects to multiple routes. Be careful to pay attention to your path or you might have a 2.5 mile trek back to where you parked. Nicely paved walk though with lights and small bridges along creek.
